How Many Hours and Days in a Row Can I Work
My question involves employment and labor constabulary for the state of: Minnesota
Is it legal to work more than 6 days in a row without a 24-hour interval off? I worked viii days in a row a few weeks ago. Also, it's fairly common for me to have to piece of work until 2AM then have to be back at work 8-10 (or less if I have to stay subsequently than 2AM) hours afterwards for an viii+ hour shift. Are either of these illegal?

Re: How Many Hours and Days in a Row Can I Work
I have found a very express list of types of employment that are regulated so that you cannot work more a specified number of hours continually. Other than that, as long as yous are receiving proper breaks and paid overtime properly, I discover naught limiting the number of hours you can piece of work per 24 hour menses or whatever minimum number of hours betwixt shifts.
What is your occupation?

Re: How Many Hours and Days in a Row Tin I Work
In Minnesota, and in many other states, unless you work in one of the very limited industries referenced past jk, you tin legally be required to work 365 days a year (and 366 days in jump years).

Re: How Many Hours and Days in a Row Can I Piece of work
I piece of work in a moving-picture show theater.
Speaking of overtime, my work only pays overtime if the total work week hours total 44 or 45 hours. If I piece of work 8+ hours I don't go overtime. I assume that's legal too.

A movie theatre is not i of the excepted industries.
There are only iii states, none of them MN, that require OT after viii hours in a day. OT is under most circumstances required after twoscore days in a week. For reasons known only to the United states DOL, movie theatre employees are considered exempt from overtime. Then yes, that is legal besides.
For those not familiar with the moving picture theatre exemption, check out under Other FLSA Exemptions here:

Aye, a very odd exemption, in my opinion. The motion picture theater operators must have had some very influential lobbyists to pull that one off. I simply cannot see any reason for the exemption that would make any sense and fairness of the exemption.
simply equally cbg stated; that means they legally do not have to pay overtime afterwards 40 hours as nearly other employers are required to do. While your handling may not seem fair, it does announced to exist legal.
